Internships and Community Work

Reward Redemption Modernization

PNC Bank

Created a new look for the cash redemption reward process for PNC's reward credit cards. Utilized Sketch, InVision, and Miro to succeed in project completion and progress communication. 

Specific Tasks

  • Updated header to improve appearance of cash rewards balance, card image, and more.

  • Changed layout of wizard UI based on updated design standards.

  • Created high-fidelity prototype to showcase functionality.

Pittsburgh Anti-Redlining Project

Lower Marshall Shadeland Development Initiative

Created maps showing disparity in home lending in Pittsburgh by neighborhood. Data analysis proved that people of color were given less loans than white people in Pittsburgh. Also analyzed loans by race by bank to determine which banks were promoting equitable lending. Assisted in website creation for the report.

Footbridge for Families Website

Footbridge for Families

Updated the website for Footbridge for Families based on their needs as they launched during the Summer of 2020. I assisted in adding functionality to the website and helped build a database to track families that receive aid.

Undergrad Work

Plaza Pittsburgh Website

Information Systems Consulting Project

The purpose of this class was to work directly with a Pittsburgh company to fulfill a technology-related need. My team and I worked with Presente Pittsburgh to create a new website called Plaza Pittsburgh to connect pittsburghers to local Latino businesses.

Specific Tasks

  • Created basic interface for users and administrators to access business information

  • Robustly tested each facet of website to ensure functionality and flow usability

  • Met weekly with client to discuss progress and make any necessary pivots

Canine Central

Information Design

This team project had a focus on iterating on a product design and creating a poster that could be used to encourage and instruct consumers on its use. For the final poster, we included depictions of how a user would interact with our product and text that expresses its value to users.

Homebuying Helper

User-Centered Research and Evaluation

This project had a major focus on the user research process. Through completing 7 different research methods and creating a prototype, my team and I were able to mockup a home buying assistant that guides prospective home buyers with the financial part of the process.

Employee Tracker and Payroll Generator

Application Design and Development

The purpose of this project was to create an application using Ruby on Rails, HTML, and CSS to create an employee database where workers could clock in and out, administration could view employee information, and payroll could be generated.

Specific Tasks

  • Created database and graphical user interface to fulfill requirements

  • Utilized MVC framework to develop application

  • Wrote test code for each part of application

  • Designed interactive user interface

Presentation  Dashboard

 Interaction Design Overview

This project focused on the duality of experiences from two different types of users. Focused on usability for each type of end user, I helped create a flow for each and created two specific, useful experiences.
